Month 1 Memorable Moments:
*Weight: 8lb 13oz (28%) - growing big and strong!
*Height: 21.5 inches (77%) at your 2 week appointment

*Hair: You lost all your hair around 3 weeks old, so we call you "old man sodahl" :) BUT it was dark brown when you had some!*Diaper: Size 1 - you were only in newborns while in the NICU, cause we thought you were going to be a big baby!! We just rolled them for the first couple of weeks!
*Clothing: Newborn and some 0-3 month sleepers, but they are so big on you!
*Health/Meds: Acid Reflex - Omeprazole (2ml/2x a day - then increased to 3ml/2x a day). Yeast Infection - Gentian Violet (2 doses total).
*Sleep: Bedtime is whenever you are sleepy ~ around 10:30pm. You then wake up about every 3 hours - and mommy does her best to sleep when you do. Naps aren't really happening...you typically sleep after you nurse.
*Eat: You nurse every 3 hours.
*Daddy put your diaper on the opposite way once, and mommy told him he should fix it - but he was too tired....SO you had a nice blow out and it went ALL over your back....onesie...everything!! Daddy got to change that one!
*Your belly button fell off, so you can take tub tubs!! You really like them! Mom is getting the hang of it....except for you have peed on her 2x so far!! One time when she put you in the tub - you almost got her face...and the second time she was more prepared, so you held it until after she had wrapped you in your warm and cozy towel....then you peed through that onto her legs!!
*You have to have your acid reflex medicine 2x a day, and we learned we can't give that to you via syringe (you spit it right back at us!) So we mix it into a bottle and give that to you....you actually prefer the breast so we have to fight you a little and "talk you into" taking your bottle - but once you start...you really love your food!!
*Your a very noisy eater too....you talk to us for the first 1/2 of your feeding, and make sure that mom is always paying attention to you!
*You have found your hands!! You started sucking on them when you are hungry; sometimes it's hard to get them out of the way to feed you!!
*You LOVE people....mommy and daddy are trying to not take offense to the fact that you love seeing new people. It's been nice that we've had so many visitors - keeps you from getting bored!*You like watching the TV - you follow it with your eyes and even when we are having play time you are checking it out.
*It takes you FOREVER to actually wake up. We'll hear you about 10 minutes before your eyes even open....you wake up just like mommy :)
*Right now you sleep in the pack n play in our room. We love hearing all your little noises. You fuss if the bassinet isn't on vibrate and your sound machine isn't on!
*You LOVE sleeping in your swing. Sometimes that's the only thing that works at night!! Mommy sleeps on the floor next to it, cause she is too scared to leave you alone in there!
*You "kinda" like your paci. In the hospital you loved it - then you sort of got over it - and the last week you started taking it again! You are getting better about holding it in yourself!
*You love getting your diaper changed. Your changing table is magic or something. You'll be freaking out and as soon as we put you on your changing table, you calm right down! We were going to move that into your crib and see if you would sleep :) But for real - you don't fuss or anything when we change your diaper. You just look up at us and pump your little legs :)

*Farting...ahhh you crack us up!! You will be in a dead sleep and you will fart - and wake yourself up!! Your little arms / hands go flying into the air - and then as you fall back asleep, they slowly drift back down! Daddy and I laugh every time!
*You have started smiling at us!! It's the best part of my entire day when you smile at mommy!! I have gotten you to smile LOTS from kissing your feet - and talking in my "mommy" voice. Once I think you smiled at me because I was singing to you and I think you were making fun of me :)
