We all slept in
which was great because tonight is going to be a late one!! Ate some bfast….played some games….and I got
us ready for a fun NYE!!!!
We went on a
sweet snowmobile ride – almost an hour!!!
Showed the boys where we got engaged and reenacted it 😊
Might have to make them reenact this in 10 years :)
Man, this feels SO long ago!!!! In a month it would have been 13 years ago already!!!
It was GORGEOUS
on the trails – so quiet, peaceful, and all the trees covered with snow!!
We got back around 2pm and Gpa and Penny had arrived!! We let the dogs get used to one another again, and then made up some yummy apps for NYE lunch 😊
Kiddos played
some more games while I headed out skiing on a trail - SO gorgeous!!!

When I got back, I made them bundle up and get back
outside – it was perfect out!!!
We wished Keegan a very Happy 6th Birthday!!! Hope it was a great day bud!!!
Evan and I headed out snowshoeing....or "pretending we were yetis" :) We
went for a long time and I’m pretty sure I was worn out before him…..!!!
We made footprints everywhere so when the neighbors get up later, they'll think a yeti was at their house :)
Got back in and
it was time to open up the 1st NYE bag!!! It was hand warmers and snowmobile ride!!!!
We went to check out the lookout :)
By the time we got back, it was 5pm and time to open up another bag!!!
Hot cocoa sticks to warm up 😊 While the boys enjoyed that and playing games
with Gpa and Penny; Ro and I hit the trails for a night ride!!! Our favorite 😊
We
got back and were a little overdue for the 6pm bags – we started dinner and then let the boys open up the first bag. It was 5 minute to win it games NYE style!!!The first was ‘The
Countdown Knock Down”!!
B man was up
first!!! You had to knock down the cups
in order of a clock – ending on midnight!!
Then Evan, Mom,
Dad, Gpa, and Penny!!! Dad won this
one!!!
Next up was ‘Tick
Tock….Tic Tacs” – this one was hard!!!!
We all did it
but dang dad won AGAIN!!!!
Next up was ‘New
Years Stack Attack’…..and guess who won!!!!! (yes...DAD AGAIN!)
My favorite (which
I WON!) was ‘Kisses Countdown’
We all liked this one though :)
Last but not
least, was ‘Drop Around the Clock’ – this one was hard for Evan but the rest of
us killed it….Mom and dad tied!!!
It was already
7pm by the time we finished the games and dinner was ready!!!! Inside the boys found crab scissors!!!
and that's because we are having CRAB LEGS!!!!
We had a great
feast!!!! Mads was just CASHED out under
the table…hahaha
The boys opened
up the 8pm one and found an amazing surprise – they might have liked this bag
the most 😊
Then it was 9pm and time for the boys to burn off energy (turns out Evan had 3 rootbeers today….so this kid was WIRED) Hopefully some balloon tennis will help 😊
10pm brought
some fun glow in the dark glasses!!! I
might have had the most fun with them though hahaha
We played some Aggravation
until it was already 11pm!!!! Are the
boys going to make it?!
Inside the 11pm bags were 2021 glasses!!!! We played
some Mario Kart since the NYE shows were kinda lame.
The boys opened
up their midnight bags a tad early so we could take some group pics and then enjoy
the noise makers as we counted down to NEW YEAR!!!! Our lake did fireworks too 😊
3....2....1....
YAY!!!!! We made it to 2021!!!!!!! PLEASE PLEASE be nice to us!!!
The boys had
some kid wine and we all CHEERS’d to a great New Year ahead!!!!!
Evan took some
great pics before we tucked the boys in at 12:30!!! We weren’t far behind them…..so tired!!!
