By 14 Months you can say 22 words: Momma, Hi, Dadda, Bye, Yay, Hot, Uh Oh, Ho Ho Ho, Nigh Nigh, Owl, Hi There, Ball, Up, Bupa, Wow, Hey, Hop, Cracker, Open, Please, Thank You!! We are so proud of you Big Man :)
14 month memorable moments
*Weight: 21lbs (per Brody weighing himself...)
*Height: 30 inches (per Brody measuring himself...)
*Hair: The back is long enough to brush every day - esp after sleeping...but the top...you still are rocking a receding hairline...we are hoping it grows in - some day :)
*Teeth: Bottom 2 molars cut through (bottom/right -Feb 5th and bottom/left - Feb 8th)
*Diaper: size 3
*Clothing: I finally had to buy you 12-18 month pants because your 6-12 month ones were getting too short; but you are so skinny that most of the 12-18 month pants fall off you...do they make little kid belts?? :)
*Health/Meds: NOTHING! We do have you on vitamin D supplement until we get some SUN in MN!
*Sleep: You still LOVE your sleep. Down at 8:30 -- sleep till 6:30/7 when I wake you, & then take 1 nap around 12:30pm for about 2-3 hours. You are not morning person (just like your momma). You cry and just want me to hold you when I wake you up...we sort of rock until you FINALLY open your eyes 10 minutes later :)
*Eat Schedule: No more breastfeeding :( I stopped the morning feeding right when we got on vacation, and you made up for it by eating a TON! and then I stopped the night time feeding on Valentine's day...I already miss our bedtime routine :(
*New Words: Ball, Up, Bupa, Wow, Hey, Hop, Cracker, Open, Please, Thank you!
*Toys: We will ALWAYS find you with a car, airplane, remote, or cellphone in your hand! You can't get enough of books right now either! You are always coming over with a book and sitting in our lap to read! Your favorite books right now: Pat the Bunny, Brown Bear, Little Blue Truck, Love you Through and Through, Duck & Goose, Dinosaur Dig, & all the books with flaps!! You love to repeat after your rocking horse; you can't get enough of your boat shape sorter and piggy bank! Those two things keep you entertained for ever!
Week 58 (Jan 31-6)
*Toys: We will ALWAYS find you with a car, airplane, remote, or cellphone in your hand! You can't get enough of books right now either! You are always coming over with a book and sitting in our lap to read! Your favorite books right now: Pat the Bunny, Brown Bear, Little Blue Truck, Love you Through and Through, Duck & Goose, Dinosaur Dig, & all the books with flaps!! Week 58 (Jan 31-6)
*You take your airplane toy and fly it around making airplane noise....I was so amazed that you knew it flew through the air! You always takes your cars and push them on the floor while saying VROOM but you knew exactly what to do with the airplane!
*Went on your 1st airplane ride! You only slept 45 minutes but didn't make a peep the rest of the flight!
*1st time in ocean - LOVED it! We walked to the beach the 1st morning - and you literally sat down and started splashing around right away! The waves would come up and hit your tummy, and you would let out a breath and then stick out your tongue and splash!
*You LOVED your stroller on vacation - you would just chillax the whole time in there!
*You suck your tummy in an out these days - it's hilarious!
*You can point out everyone's belly button. You will walk over, lift their shirt up, and then tickle their belly button!!
*You lift your shirt up and play peek a boo all the time! OR if you don't have something to cover your fave - you just use your hands to cover your eyes!
*You liked walking on the sand - and would actually hold our hand for the 1st time ever. Both Daddy and Mommy LOVED this!
*You played with a beach ball around the sides of the pool in FL - and all of a sudden you just said "BALL" and pointed to it! Now we can't get you to stop saying it!!!
*You learned how to say UP!!! It's so cute!! You come up to mom and dad - and say UP and put your arms up! Mommy loves it :)
*Stopped your morning breastfeeding 1st day on vacation..you made up for it by eating a ton!

*You said "BUPA"!! I should say you whispered Bupa! You will only whisper it, but when you say Bupa - you look right at him! Once we came home from vacation - you would look at a picture of him or in a book when we say Gma and Gpa - you would whisper back "Bupa"! So cute!

*We were watching the Olympics and you saw the torch on TV and you started blowing! I can't believe you made the connection between fire being hot - and when we say hot we blow! So crazy how smart you are!
*When we say "Hip, Hip, Hooray" you lift your arms over your head-so cute!
*You got a Valentine's Day froggie from Grents - and it sings/dances and now you say "Hop, Hop, Hop" just like he does :)
*You are starting to become a picky eater...you LOVE fruit (any and all) - but lately you haven't been eaten any meat (unless it's fried chicken fingers or a hot dog). You will pick around the food you don't like - or throw it on the ground!
*Had your last bottle of breast milk today...we made it almost 14 months!!! :)
*You learned how to push your vacuum back and forth! So cute to watch you vacuuming when daddy does!
*You somersault! When we say "Brody do a somersault" - you bend over, put your hands out, and your head down - and then we "help"...and you clap at the end!
*You LOVE being chased! I think it's one of your favorite things ever...you giggle so hard! If daddy is chasing you - you run to mom and almost trip cause you are running towards her so fast!

Week 60 (Feb 14-20)
*Celebrated Valentine's Day dressed up with a robot shirt that said "I'm just a love machine" -- we teamed that with your valentine's - aka Robots "I like you a bot" hehe.
*Your 2nd cousin, Elizabeth Rose Hermanny was born on Valentine's Day - we are so pumped to meet her!
*Stopped your night time breastfeeding...now we read a couple books, drink water from the sippy, and cuddle/rock a bit till you get sleepy.
*We went ice fishing and you had fun playing and scooping out the snow from the holes!
*You jumped in the pool all by yourself - and daddy wasn't allowed to catch you for 2 seconds! You did great, but mommy and daddy were nervous -- haha.
*You have taking a liking to walking backwards...it's like watching a white Michael Jackson -- hehe.
*You learned to stomp your feet! (from your Valentine's day froggie) Now whenever you get excited you stomp your little feet - it's one of my favorite things!
*You learned how to blow your nose! Must be from all the colds you have had this winter - for real, it's been one cold after another. We hold up a kleenex and you blow now! So cute!
*You said Cracker!! It's not dead on - but you'll ask for one, and we know what you are saying! So cute!
*FINALLY nice enough to play outside...and you do a FACE PLANT on the driveway! :( Your little nose is all scraped up -- poor little man!

Week 61 (Feb 21-27)
*You are so smart! You go over to the cupboard when we get home - open it - and start signing more and saying cracker! OR if you want a banana - you walk over to where the basket of bananas is and starting signing more and pointing up to them!
*"Where" -- when we say "where is xxx" you hold your arms up and then look very questioning :)
*You drank chocolate milk!!! The only milk we have been able to get you to drink in a month, and of course - it's chocolate! I think it has something to do with it being in a juice box too...but we'll take it!
*You said "open"!! Mommy has been working on open and shut for awhile...shape sorter, car door, cupboards...and tonight you were playing with your shape sorter - and you brought it over to mommy and said "open"! YAY!!!
*You LOVE to push the button to open the garage door. You get sort of upset when it is already open, so we let you open an close it most days :)
*LOVE your books! Your favorite book to read before bed is "Pat the Bunny" - you know exactly what to do on each page before we even read it to you! You also read along to the book "Duck and Goose Find a Pumpkin"...it's hilarious. Each page they are searching for their pumpkin - so it will say "Is our pumpkin in the water.....no...." and you shake your head no and say "no" every time I turn the page!
*You have started to be able to point to things in books that we mention. In your 100 new word flap book - mommy will ask you "where is the..." and you will open that flap! Mommy mixes it up every time too just to make sure you really know the words and you DO!!
*You say PLEASE and THANK YOU! Such a polite little boy! When you want something to eat is when we usually hear "please" -- and when you hand us something you say "Thank you". So cute! I love you and all your words!!!
