We all slept in a little...had some egg bake...and then ventured out the front door to hike and play on Lake Superior! We went to school here for 4 years - and I've never been on the lake in the winter!!!
The ice looked like windex! So pretty :)
The boys started "playing!" (aka picking up ice junks and throwing them...)
Then they started "being stupid" -- and walked out very close to the open water so they could break more ice chunks....
Us girls watched from afar...
But they did get some cool pics....
After we took nap, watched a movie, and ate lunch (ahhh how vacation changes once you have kids...this was for real AWESOME! -- I lived for sitting on my butt and not having anything else to do :)....we headed to Gooseberry Falls to get some exercise in! It was nice to get outside again! So awesome out!
Then we headed to Castle Ridge Brewery and tried some yummy beers...I don't even like beer - and these were good!! :) We headed to Grand Superiors Ice Bar next -- had some warm "ice" drinks and sat by the fire!
Then made it back to our cabin around 7pm -- watched a little HS hockey - ate a FEAST! - did up the hot tub again - and played more games! (New favorite games: Pounce, Cards against Humanity, and Anything Goes)!
Brody isn't going to want to come home!!! He is having such a great time :) He slept great for his 1st night away from his momma...
He got to make rainbow pancakes with Gpa!
Got to take his nap on Gma! & finally play outside!
AND he got to go out to dinner and eat ICE CREAM for dessert!!!
