2 month memorable moments
*Weight: 11lb 4oz (39%)
*Height: 23.25 (63%)
*Hair: Have a bunch of peach fuzz - so your hair is coming back in! Still have a rat tail though....and you either have the Sodahl birthmark on the back of your neck or a little rash.*Diaper: Size 1 - we go through about 10/day!!
*Clothing: Doesn't fit into newborn clothes anymore :( At week 6, we put those away and moved into 0-3 months clothes!
*Health/Meds: Acid Reflex - Omeprazole (3ml/2x a day - just this last week they changed from the generic brand to First-Omeprazole). You have been getting a little rash on your face - I think it's from your spit up, so we've been washing your face and putting on lotion after each spit up episode. It seems to be getting better!
*Sleep: On a routine! Bedtime is between 9/930pm - you sleep until 3am - and then start your day around 6/7am. You nurse when you wake up - then play for about an hour - then nap time. You typically nap 45 min when we are home, but 1-2 hours when we are out and about (you love your car seat!). Then we repeat the process!
*Eat: You eat every 3 hours; except after 7pm - we keep you awake and try to stretch you till your bedtime.
*Toys: You don't really "play" with anything yet, but I try to put your orange ball in your hands a lot. You'll hang onto it for a bit if I'm lucky! You like laying on your play mat, but you haven't really reached for anything on purpose yet.
*You have the best facial expressions: you lift your eyebrows a lot - and then you have cutie little wrinkles on your forehead!; you furrow your brow - it's like you are thinking about something; you smile a TON!; you purse your lips and make a little circle with them - it's so funny! Usually turns into a big yawn from there!*You sleep in your crib now for bedtime and naps! We put a pillow under your sheets to help elevate you a little. Helps with the acid reflex!
*Bed time routine: lights dimmed, feed you in glider, listening to his sound machine - waves, swaddle you in your Halo after boob 1, rock you and put into bed.
*Each morning we hang out in your room with you on your boppy reading books and telling stories.
*You gets a little crabby from 7pm till bedtime - but if we catch you before you cry to eat, we don't even hear you cry!
*You love to be cradled in our arms to fall asleep - if you get really fussy, your paci works miracles.
*You can hold your head up now!! You are so strong!
*The birth marks on your eyelids are beginning to fade a little, unless you get really upset!
*When we feed you a bottle, you hold onto my fingers - almost like you are holding the bottle yourself!
*LOVE sitting up like a big boy - you will sit there for an hour just looking around (esp staring at the TV)
*All smiles - if we get within your eye sight you'll just smile at us!
*You can track toys!! You look from side to side and up and down! You just started doing that this week!
*You have started to coo more - you are telling us stories :)
*You recognize your momma and daddy! It's awesome - you'll smile when we talk to you - and you'll follow us around the room!
*Started going to mommy and me class
*You take showers with mom! I just bring your bouncing chair in - turn it on vibrate - and you give me 15 minutes to get all fresh and clean. So nice of you :)
*You are obsessed with sucking on your hands! I think you are trying to get to your thumb, but you suck on your hand all the time! You do a lot at night time to console yourself! Your little hands get so cold because they are constantly in your mouth!
*Mommy constantly gives you kisses - you don't seem to mind (yet)! I also do "sniff attacks" and that always makes you smile...waiting for that laugh!
*Had lots of FIRSTs this month: First Bar, First Restaurant, First Ice Fishing Experience, First Groundhogs Day, First Valentine's Day, First Blowout poopy diaper!, First night in big boy crib, First time sleeping through the night (9 hours!)
