My poor little baby!! He threw up in his crib last night, and we didn't even hear him - so I didn't find it till this morning. I was heartbroken...worst mommy ever!!! He puked a couple more times and had a couple blow out diapers, so figured it was time to bring him in. We headed to the doctor around 12 - and B had lost about 1/2 lb since his 1 year check up...had a temp...and turns out he is a hot mess. He has a viral infection (runny nose/cough); he is teething (he top 2 molars have poked through); and he has rotavirus (which is a very strong stomach flu that is uber contagious and causes bad puking/diarrhea) They put him on Ondansetron - which is a anti nausea liquid he needs to take so he can keep some liquids in. She said he was right on the border of needing to go in and being hooked up to IV for liquids, but he had saliva so she was hoping this did the trick :(
Rushed him home and gave him some water - and he slept on my for the next 3.5 hours. He had a couple more nasty diapers, but no more puking - so hopefully the meds are working. He wouldn't take a bottle from me, so I was getting stressed out about the liquids - but he had 1 wet diaper tonight, so that's good news...only 2 more to go before tomorrow at 12!
